WHAT IS IT?
Sketches are disposable, unfinished hand drawn illustrations that ask questions and demostrate possible solutions. Instead of focusing on small details, sketching should concern things like proposition (Does the overall idea seem useful?), concept (How does it deliver it’s value?) and context (Would it fit in with the other things the user is doing, e.g. before and after using it?) Sketching is about exploration, throwing things out, and making mistakes. Harry Brignull.Samples
WHO USES IT?
Information Architects use sketches to explore ideas, think out loud, understand processes and flows. These can then be used to communicate concepts to designer, storyboard artists and other design team members.
HOW ARE THEY MADE?
1. Grab paper and drawing instrument.
2. Do many sketches.
3. Narrow down.
